Whether you've taken a staycation, a weekend excursion or an exotic getaway, when you return home your pockets are usually overflowing with artifacts from your trip. Maybe you've saved napkins from a memorable café, a subway map, or tickets from a Broadway play. Putting these meaningful scraps into a travel journal is a great way to preserve the memories from all of your sightseeing adventures.
With the help of your Canon IVY and PIXMA TS9521C; printers, making a travel scrapbook from scratch can be surprisingly simple and budget-friendly. Read on for our step-by-step guide.

The Accordion-Fold Travelogue
The accordion-fold journal is made by folding a sheet of construction paper or cardstock back and forth in page-width increments. For this variation, you'll create an accordion-fold journal that looks like a travel guide.
What You'll Need
- A used or out-of-date travel guide to the city or country of your choice (available at most second-hand bookstores).
- 12" x 12" construction paper or cardstock
- Glue
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Craft knife
- Decorative paper (optional)
- Canon IVY printer
- PIXMA TS9521C printer
What You'll Do
Once you have what you need, follow these five simple steps to create your travel journal:
Step 1
Using a pair of scissors or a craft knife, cut off the front and back covers of the used travel guide. Set these aside.

Step 2
Cut a sheet of 12" x 12" paper in half. Glue together the short side of each half to make one long strip of paper (the new dimensions should be roughly 6" x 24"). Accordion-fold the paper, keeping the width of each page consistent (we recommend folding the paper into six 4" x 6" sections).

Step 3
Attach the covers of your used travel guide by gluing the first page of your paper accordion to the back of the front cover. Repeat for the back cover, then let the glue dry before moving onto the next step.

Step 4
Decorate the inside of both covers (and hide any messy glue marks!) using colorfully patterned paper. If you don't have any at home, choose one of 45 built-in printable patterns on your PIXMA TS9521C printer.

Step 5
Fill your journal up with scraps from your trip. Using your Canon IVY, print out customized photos from your trip, and stick them to the pages of your journal along with museum tickets, boarding passes, stamps and all of your other printed mementos.
